As a big fan of the first two Blade movies, I have to admit that I was a bit disappointed in Blade: Trinity. It's not a bad movie, but compared to the previous entries, Trinity feels a bit like it's running on fumes. While the injection of a group of vampire hunters called The Nightstalkers (led by the lovely Jessica Biel and the wise-cracking Ryan Reynolds) breathes a bit of life into the film, the pedestrian plot (which has a clan of vampires led by Parker Posey resurrecting Dracula) and Wesley Snipes' sleep-walking performance threaten at many times to pull the picture into the pit of bordedom.

There's never really a sense like the first two films that Blade or his co-horts are actually in danger. Sure, a lot of the minor characters get killed off, but the guys getting the big paychecks never seem to be in too much trouble. Even with a few decent action sequences, there's not really too much to distinguish Blade: Trinity from the heap of other vampire movies out there. This one's for die-hard fans of the series only, and even then I would probably just suggest waiting until this comes out on video.
